Today is Groundhog Day. When I was a kid, we lived in Delaware and then Maryland. The "six more weeks of winter" or not if Punxatawny Phil saw his shadow made s
ense then. Since living farther north, first in the snowbelt around Syracuse and, for the last 33 years, in Vermont, six more weeks of winter sounds just great as winter would only last until mid-March. But winters here usually last well into April. My old friend Arnold shared this photo on Facebook. The caption: "Thousands protest global warming."
